Something Else - Start Moving Earbuds

Originally released in 1994, this was the second album by Mick Beck’s trio Something Else. Although the philosophy of the group involved a constant mixing of improvisation and notated material (best demonstrated on their third album Playing With Tunes), this recording features almost exclusively improvised material, with the addition of one theme each by Beck and Fell. Between 1992 and 1997 Something Else gigged regularly and extensively; the extraordinary empathy which they were to develop during this period is already very much in evidence on this album.
