Hal Rammel has been designing and building musical instruments since 1976. As a composer and improviser based in southeastern Wisconsin he performs in the groups Audiotrope (with Steve Nelson-Raney and Thomas Gaudynski), Van’s Peppy Syncopators (with Terri Kapsalis and John Corbett), Whole or by the Slice (with Lou Mallozzi), and Raccoons (with Jon Mueller and Chris Rosenau). As an author , visual artist, and photographer, Hal Rammel’s work has appeared in the pages of the improvisor, Experimental Musical Instruments, Musical Traditions (England), Rubberneck (England), Salamandra (Spain), Cultural Correspondence, Analogon (Czechoslovakia), Nakna Lappar (Sweden), and Mannen På Gatan (Sweden).

Jon Mueller has been an active drummer and percussionist since the mid-80s. Whether utilizing bombastic minimalism, dense interplay, or electroacoustic practices, his approach focuses on a physical dialog between situation and material. He has been featured on numerous recordings and has performed throughout the U.S., Japan, and Europe.
