This, the third release for N.E.W, catches them in all their live ferocity, potency and inventive group improvisation, equal measures free improv as avant-rock, these 3 lives tracks reveal the sheer power, attack and total commitment that these three have to reaching new heights. “Ward is Phenomenal, all spidery glissandu and slashing chords. Edwards is a dark magus of a bass player thundering against the elements, while Noble is a violent, malevolent presence. If these guys’ personalities reflect their playing, you just wouldn’t want to find yourself down a darkened alley with them. A white-knuckled ride you’ll be glad to take.”
