Tuulenkantajat - Koirankuria
Tuulenkantajat was formed in Finland in 1980. Drawing from ancient Finnish music and traditions, the group developed an interest in old Finnish folk music and instruments. However, Tuulenkantajat is not only about pursuing traditions; the group’s innovative and open-minded approach fuses myriad musical styles, adding up to a totally unique musical adventure.
The brand new album, Koirankuria (Dog’s Discipline), presents a Northern exposure with mystical echoes from vast Finnish forests. It is a trip through tranquilly shifting landscapes, including a surreal story of a golden perch, shamanistic incantation and, most of all, freewheeling and highly skilled musicianship.
