Paavoharju - Ikkunat näkevät
Paavoharju comes from Savonlinna, Finland. The group is a collective project of ascetic born-again christians. The sound is something between Bollywood music, church hymns, beautiful pop tunes and ambient esoteric noises. The lyrics are very spiritual in sound and text. Fonal Records has released a new EP by Paavoharju featuring new and rare tracks.
Ikkunat näkevät (tr. Windows have eyes) is first music release since Paavoharju’s last album Laulu laakson kukista (Fonal, 2008) and an enigmatic DVD release documenting their existence titled Unien Savonlinna (tr. Savonlinna of dreams). The DVD portraits many of the band members and people around them giving another look inside the bands dynamics. Since then Paavoharju have played in Roskilde shortly after which they announced they would never play another live concert again.
There are three brand new songs, three alternative versions and one rare track taken from sold out compilation release.
