IST - Ghost Notes
Originally released in 1998, Ghost Notes was IST’s third album, and their first (and only one) to feature compositions. Recorded following a UK tour which featured an extensive exploration of the repertoire for improvising strings - including the first performances of several IST-commissioned composition - the album presents a selection of these compositions interspersed with free improvisations – the activity for which this group was best known.
