Kiila - Free Will Is Hard To Kill
Kiila’s second seven inch with four songs. Scary sounds in a smoothing way. Kiila has left pop on the other side of the street. No improvisation, no compositions: structuralized coincidences. Tampere biennale awaits.
Reviews
PROSPECTIVE Music Magazine Issue 1/
Kiila consists of two idealistic young men from the same musical scene that spawned the famous Finnish postrock bands Circle and Ektroverde. This seven-inch is another convincing piece of work, the stylistic genre of which is really hard to really define. Is it postrock or just good old electroacoustic music (OK, I may stretch definitions a bit here)? This one can really confound the listener, though in a thoroughly pleasent way. Maybe it's "only" Kiila music and that's why we love it.
